Hang on to our last days of summer before we push our kids back to school. It goes so damn fast.

How Legislation, Location and Longevity are Shaping Retirement Readiness

Retirement planning starts with numbers such as savings targets, contribution rates, and investment returns. These kinds of foundational metrics guide the structure of retirement strategies and inform plan design. Yet even the most precise calculations don’t exist in a vacuum. 3 Ways to Retire with Confidence

Mr. C’s Movie (Show) Review

Alien: Earth– the scariest thing in the Alien universe isn’t the Xenomorph-it might be us.
I normally don’t review a movie/show before I’ve watched to conclusion….throw that out the door. The first “3” episodes of Alien: Earth check, check, check. It’s the best version of Alien since Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley turning total bad ass while saving Newt from the clutches of the Xenomorph.
The prequel introduces us to a bevy of lesser known actors that invests in its audience in their fear. Timothy Olyphant (Hitman, Die Harder, Deadwood) plays the role of the creepy sidekick to perfection. His portrayal will undoubtedly keep you guessing, is he good or bad?
Unlike the movies, Alien: Earth acts as both a gory, jump scare horror and lessen in something more insidious; corporate greed. In this dystopian world, “5” megacorps rule the planet and the race to create a greater humanity in the form of synthetic hybrids.
Without giving away major plot lines, episode “1” introduces our main characters by pulling at our collective heart strings. Prodigy, a corporation at the top of the synthetic market, is doing something with human consciousness that blurs the line of morality. We care for the newly constructed “soldiers” on a paternal level.
The Xenomorph will dial up the nostalgia but the “treasures” collected by scientific research vessel might just induce a few messy scares as well.
On a scale of: “Like It”, “Love It”, or “Gotta Have It”; Alien: Earth isn’t just a show you like—it’s one you’ll love if you crave chilling, gory sci-fi. Fans of the franchise will realize it’s a “gotta have it” must-watch: the rare prequel that actually deepens the universe while scaring the hell out of you.
